Course Assumptions: Students are assumed to have taken some courses on water treatment in their undergraduate studies and thus have basic knowledge of the treatment processes and principles.
Course objective: This course, therefore, focuses on enhancing ability of the students to practically design surface water treatment plants.
Course outcome: By the end of the course, students are expected to:
- Clearly understand the design considerations and developed practical design procedures for each component of surface water treatment plants
- Develop an Excel based WTP design calculator
