This course deals with the philosophical foundations of the major research paradigms, the scientific theory of research, the steps involved in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and writing research reports. The course gives adequate emphasis to research data gathering instruments and data analysis techniques (i.e., statistical techniques and application of SPSS for quantitative data, and non-numerical methods for qualitative data).
