This course has 5 basic chapters. Which are Systematic survey on the most important production
processes in the metalworking industry, Fundamental of casting process, special casting process, Traditional machining process and nontraditional machining process.  

The course enables students to understand:

  1.  Basic traditional machining processes, their principles, tool geometry, wear of tools, force and power on traditional machine,tools and measures to achieve optimization;
  2. Basic nontraditional machining operation and their principles;
  3. Basic concept of casting process, design of cast, casting defect and their remedies.
